Two Categories of Bets
European roulette organises all bets into two main categories based on where chips are placed on the table: inside bets (on the number grid) and outside bets (in the surrounding area). A third category - call bets - covers physical wheel sectors and is placed verbally or via the racetrack panel.
In the simulator, all bet types are accessible by clicking the appropriate zone on the physical table layout. Click the centre of a number for a straight-up bet; click the line between two adjacent numbers for a split; click the corner intersection of four numbers for a corner bet.
Inside Bets
Inside bets are placed directly on the number grid. They offer higher payouts but lower win probability than outside bets.
1. Straight Up - 35:1
The simplest and highest-paying bet. Place a chip directly on any single number, including zero. The bet wins if the ball lands in that exact pocket.
- Covers: 1 number
- Win probability: 1/37 = 2.70%
- Payout: 35:1
- How to place in simulator: Click the centre of any number cell
2. Split - 17:1
A bet on two adjacent numbers, placed on the shared border between them. Numbers must be physically adjacent on the table layout - horizontally or vertically. Also includes zero-adjacent splits: 0–1, 0–2, 0–3.
- Covers: 2 numbers
- Win probability: 2/37 = 5.41%
- Payout: 17:1
- How to place in simulator: Click the border line between two adjacent numbers
3. Street - 11:1
A bet on three consecutive numbers in a single row. There are 12 standard streets (1-2-3, 4-5-6, … 34-35-36) plus two European zero-streets: 0-1-2 and 0-2-3.
- Covers: 3 numbers
- Win probability: 3/37 = 8.11%
- Payout: 11:1
- How to place in simulator: Click the bottom edge of any three-number column
4. Corner - 8:1
A bet on four numbers that share a common corner on the table layout. The chip sits at the intersection point of the four cells. Also available: the European 0-1-2-3 corner (four-number bet with zero).
- Covers: 4 numbers
- Win probability: 4/37 = 10.81%
- Payout: 8:1
- How to place in simulator: Click the corner intersection of four adjacent numbers
5. Six Line (Double Street) - 5:1
A bet covering two adjacent streets (six numbers). The chip is placed at the intersection of two streets on the outer edge of the layout. There are 11 possible six-line positions.
- Covers: 6 numbers
- Win probability: 6/37 = 16.22%
- Payout: 5:1
- How to place in simulator: Click the border between two adjacent streets (bottom edge, between columns)
Outside Bets
Outside bets cover larger groups of numbers. They pay lower odds but win more frequently. Zero loses on all outside bets.

Call Bets (Announced Bets)
Call bets cover specific sectors of the physical wheel. In a land casino, these are called out verbally by the player. In online play, they are placed via the racetrack panel. The simulator displays the racetrack on the right panel.
Voisins du Zéro (9 chips)
Covers the 17 numbers nearest to zero: 0, 2, 3, 4, 7, 12, 15, 18, 19, 21, 22, 25, 26, 28, 29, 32, 35. Placed as: 2 chips on 0-2-3 street; 1 chip on splits 4-7, 12-15, 18-21, 19-22, 32-35; 2 chips on corner 25-26-28-29.
Tiers du Cylindre (6 chips)
Covers 12 numbers: 5, 8, 10, 11, 13, 16, 23, 24, 27, 30, 33, 36. Six chips placed as splits: 5-8, 10-11, 13-16, 23-24, 27-30, 33-36.
Orphelins (5 chips)
Covers 8 remaining numbers: 1, 6, 9, 14, 17, 17, 20, 31, 34. Five chips: 1 straight up on 1, and splits on 6-9, 14-17, 17-20, 31-34.
Neighbour Bets
Any number can have a neighbour bet placed - betting on the number and its 2 (or 4) immediate neighbours on the wheel. Example: "17 and 2 neighbours" covers 32, 6, 17, 25, 2 - five straight-up chips.
How to Place Bets in the Simulator
Click between numbers for splits, on corners for corner bets, and at the bottom of a column for streets. The tooltip shows the bet name and payout ratio as you hover. All valid bet intersections are clickable - impossible bets (e.g. non-adjacent numbers) simply won't register a bet zone.
